FOXTON NOTES
(From Own Our Correspondent). FOXTON, Sept. 5. Mr and Mrs A. Alsop, of Foxton, have recently completed a tour of Scotland an England and will leave England for Australia at the end of this month. Mr R. Desjardines sustained a sever injury to his foot on Sunday while cutting firewood. The axo slipped and badly gashed his foot. As a result of the accident, he will be confined to his homo for some days. The results of tho typewriting examination held at St. Mary’s Coifvent in Juno are just to hand from Sydney. All candidates presented for tho examination were successful. They were as follow :—Typewriting, speed 33 w.p.m., Una Barrat; 28 w.p.m., Ngaire Dunn; 25 w.p.m., Lillian Coyne. Junior Grade: Mary Martin 94 per cent., Clifford Dudson, 90 per cent., Frank Smith 89 per cent., Joan McPherson 83 per cent., David Cresswoll 80 per cent., Keith Powel 70 per cent.
