OROUA LICENSING COMMITTEE. QUARTERLY MEETING. (Special to “Standard.”) FEILDING, Sept. 6. The quarterly meeting of the Oroua Licensing Committee was held m the Feilding Courthouse at noon to-day. On the Bench were Messrs R.. M. Wat son, S.M. (chairman), J. W. Bramwell, T. Watson, E. Goodbehere, H. G. Booth and P. G. Guy. In regard to the adjourned application for the renewal of lus license of Patrick John Finn, of the Aigyle Hotel, Hunterville, Sergeant 0 Neil, Taihape . entered an objection to tiie renewal of the license on the . grounds of offences under the Licensing Act. Counsel for the applicant, however, informed the Bench that, conditional upon the license being renewed the hotel had been sold. .Sergeant 0 Neill said he had no objection to the license being renewed, provided that the new occupant took over the hotel in a few days. The renewal was accordingly granted on that understanding. A permanent transfer was granted in respect of the Langholm Hotel, Mangaweka, from Joshua Slade to L d ward Dwyer. Mr Fitzherbert (Palmerston North) appeared in support of the application.
