SENTENCE OF DEATH.
SYDNEY, Sept. 4. Charles Jackson, who was charged with tlio murder iof Richard Moxoy, was found guilty and sentenced to death. , , No evidence was called lor the defence, but Jackson in a statement from the box asserted that Moxey was guilty of abominable offences towards him and that he and accused were intoxicated on the day of the murder. He had a hazy recollection of firing at Moxey.’ , „,, , . , t At the conclusion of tlio trial James Dent, who was charged with having incited to murder, was released from custody following the application or the Crown Prosecutor.
