WEATHER REPORT
CLOUDY AND UNSETTLED. The Government Meteorologist telegraphed to-day:—The indications are for southerly winds, moderate to strong, and veering by west to north, freshening, and becoming strong to gale. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, but- after about Hi hours becoming cloudy and unsettled with rain following.' The barometer is rising slowly, but will bo falling after about 10 hours. ALANAWATU RIVER GAUGE. 7 a.m., Oft 6in; noon" Oft Gin.
