NEVER ABSENT.
Early in 1919 tho tearoom at the Roval Prince Albert Hospital was opened hv Mrs W. T. White and Mrs Lewis Packer, and since ithat time Mrs White has never onco been absent from her duties. For the first twelve months she was present every day, and over eight years she has attended three days a week. She leaves homo at 6.50 in the morning and is cooking and serving at the hospital until five o’clock. Mrs White loves her unpaid self-imposed task, and makes light of the _ rush of students for lunch and morning and afternoon teas. Mrs White takes one holiday a year. A week before Christmas the tea-room is closed to reopen at tho end of January. The students are then on vacation. Although Mrs i Packer is not now in the tea-room, she has retained her interest in.
