PACE POISON CASE.
REPORT OF DEVELOPMENTS.
(Australian Press Association). LONDON, September 3. Persistent reports aro current that there are new and sensational developments in the Paco case. Sir Archibald Bodkin,, Director of Public Prosecutions, is credited with considering the ro-opening of proceedings. It is known that Scotland Yard is most closely examining a sensational document concerning which decision has been delayed for a few days.
Mrs Paco, a woman of 35 years, with a family of five, was committed for trial on Juno 4 on a cliargo of murder. Evidence showed that Paco had ill-treated his wife, and it was suggested that at least throo doses of arsenic had been administered between Christmas Day, 1927, and the dato of Paco’s death. The evidence of a nine-year-old son of the Paces was that the mother had dono everything for his father during his illness. Mrs Paco, in a statement- to the police, said that Paco had frequently threatened to poison himsolf. After a long trial Mr Justice Harridgo ruled that there was no case to go to a jury.
