FARMER’S WIFE INJURED. WHAKATANE. Sept. 1. Mrs J. C. Carter, of Te Teko, was attacked by a cow, which knocked her down and gored her in the leg, inflicting a nasty wound. The cow was preparing for another charge when Mr Carter appeared and diverted the course of the beast just in time. Mrs Carter suffered from shock and will be confined to her bed for some days.
