UNITED PARTY.
MEETING LAST NIGHT. A well-attended meeting of the United Political Party was held last evening, when preliminary arrangements were finalised in connection with Mr C. A. Louglman’s election campaign. Confidence in Mr Louglinan > was voiced by those present and the ‘ following resolution was carried: ’ “That this meeting of the United ' Political Party expresses its profound ’ satisfaction that Mr C. A. Louglinan, ' a man of mature judgment and integrity, of ripe scholarship and of great ' and tried experience, should have consented to stand for the Palmerston ' seat. Further, that this meeting of ' his committee will work continuously 1 . in the best interests of New Zealand jto secure his return to Parliament.” 1
