THIEVES IN A CHURCH,

SYDNEY, Aug. G. Thieves entered tho Anglican (Jliurch at Burraja and stole the organ, the sanctuary carpet and a broom. The theft was discovered when some of the committee arrived to prepare the church for Sunday’s service. A trunk containing the altar ornaments was found open, but nothing was missing from it. The service register, however, was scribbled over and many pages with shocking profanity'. > Motor tracks were visible around the building, and traces of a man’s boot were clearly seen, together with signs of the square bottom edge of the organ having been let down on the ground.
