ENGAGEMENT RUMOUR DENIED
(Australian Press Association.) LOS ANGELES, Aug. 21. A report circulated in Los Angeles that Sir George Wilkins, the famous Arctic explorer, is engaged to marry Miss Susan Bennett, the Australian actress, who is now playing in New York, was referred to Sir George, who said: “We are very good friends, but tho matter of an engagement of marriage has never been discussed or suggested. Tlio rumour is untrue.”
