At the annual meeting of the Now Zealand Auto-Cycle Union following, as winners of tho New Zealand championships for the 1927-28 season, wero announced: —Light-weight championship, 8 miles and 828 yards (Wanganui), G. W. Dixon 2jh.p.; time, Bmin 4 l-ssec. Middle-weight championship, 10 miles (Foxton), D. Managh, 31h.p. time, 9min 31 2-ssec. Heavy-Weight championship, 12 miles (Gisborne), P. Coleman, ?h.p.; time, lOmin 28sec. ' Record certificates were allotted as follow: —P. Coleman brolto the wood’s record for a flying mile at Takapuna racecourso on March 3, 1928, on .a 7h.p. in 46 4-ssec. C. D. Walker broke the world’s record for a flying mile at Takapuna racecourse on March 3, 1928, on a 22 h.p. in 50 4-ssec.
