AIR OFFICER’S EXPECTATION.

.CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 15. There is a possibility, according to Captain J. L. Findlay, officer in charge at Wigram Aerodrome, that September 3 will be tlie date on which SquadronLeader C. E. Kingsford Smith and Flight-Lieutenant C. T. P. Ulm will make tlieir trans-Tasman flight.

Captain Findlay explained that a full moon was essential for the flight, and should the airmen elect not to make their effort on or about September 3, it would he necessary for them to wait another month.
