BANKRUPT’S IGNORANCE.

AUCKLAND, Aug. 15. “I do not know what property my wife has, but I believe she held a mortgage,” said a bankrupt at a meeting of creditors.
“Bankrupts never knew anything about their wives’ property,” commented the Official Assignee, Mr G. N. Morris.
