ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED. SYDNEY CHURCH CIRCLES EXCITED.
Received August 15, 9.4 oa.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 15. Anglican circles are excited at tho announcement made to-day of the engagement of the Venerable Gerard Addington DarcyJrvine, Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese of Sydney, to Miss Angus, of Neutral Bay. Miss Angus was an intimate friend of the late Mrs Darcy-Irvine, who died fourteen month ago. , The Vicnorable Dartey-Irvme, who was born in ISG2, is an outstanding figure in the Anglican Church life of this State.
The Yen. Darcy-Irvine was educated at the Grammar School, Napier, New Zealand, and at a collego in New South Wales.
