SPONGE PUDDING.

Take 15 cups of self-raising flour, one tablespoon butter, two tablespoons sugar, and ono egg. Rub butter, flour and sugar together and add the egg beaten with a little milk and mix to a batter. Grease a basin and pour into it half a cup of golden syrup and then tho mixture. Tie a buttered paper over tho top. steam for 1J hours and servo with boiled custard.
