(From Our Own Correspondent). BUNNYTHORPE, Aug. 13. On Saturday afternoon there 'was a fair attondanco to watch tho football match be. tween Foilding and Bunnythorpe junior. Tho first spell was very even, with both sides on the attack, during which McKay with a groat kick from half way just missed. Towards the end of tho spell from a forward rush J. Hepburn scored. The second spell opened with Bunnythorpo well on tho attack, a good run was made by McKay who scored and converted. From the kick out a good Foilding passing rush resulted in A. Pearce scoring. Again the local players came to light, and tho ball came out to E. Allerby, who wont through tho visitors’ backs to scoro a good try. Give and take play followed, and a good movement by tho visitors resulted in Streat scoring, and Benge" kicked a good goal. Tho final scores wore: Foilding 11 Bunnythorpe 8. For Foilding, Benge and Pearce, and for Bunnythorpe Allery and McKay wero tho outstanding players. Mr W. Gordon refereed.
Tho Bunnythorpo thirds played West End Old Boys, being without tho service of E. Duthio and I. Taylor, Who wero injured in tho representative match. Tho local team woro unlucky in not putting on more points. West End’s 6coro consisted of tries by Fowler (2) and a ponalty goal. For Bunnythorpe Ilydo, Powell and Sutherland scored and M. Donald converted ono try, tho final - scored being: Bunnythorpe 11, W.E. Old Boys 9. Mr J. W. Stewart, who has taken over a farm in the Waikato district, will bo leaving Bunnythorpe for his mew homo at tho -end. of the week.
