Both •teams played good' open football. From the kick off the local boys made tho game open and a passing run by Donald, E. and G. Duthio and Sutherland, carried play well on to tho visitors’ line, and from some looso play G. Duthio scored. From the kick out tho visitors mado the game willing, and a fine run was mado by H. Lane who put in a great kick. This was marked by E. Duthio w-ho found tho lino well down, and from tho lino out G. Duthio took the ball on the full and ran through tho visitors’ back to score between the posts. M. Donald converted. Again St.. Patrick’s came with a good passing run,, resulting in .Spellman scoring a good try. Some give and take play ensued with Bunnythorpe pressing hard. Tho second spell opened with St. Patrick’s out to oven up tho' gamo, and by good play R. Greer and E. Mayby scored in quick succession. Tho gamo became more willing and tho visitors wore halted by Penfold marking. Condition v-as telling on the visitors, while tho local forwards wore playing a hard gamo. M. Donald obtained a good mark and from a high kick the ball came out to G. Duthie who scored his third try. Soon after M. Thomas, wing-forward, got clean through the St. Patrick’s backs and scored a good try. With these reserves tho St. Patrick’s made the gamo willing, but the local team’s training held them in good sted. From a forw-ard rush by Bunnvthorpo the ball came out to E.
