management committee MEETING. Mr J. C. Young presided over the fortnightly meeting of tho management committee of the Manawatu Football Association last evening. Also present wero Messrs T. R. Lees, J. Dick, E. Kempson, T. West and H. Simmonds (secretary). Tho primary committee reported that, it had been decided to send a team to the schools tournament at Huntly, Mr T. Crowe being appointed manager. tit. Andrew’s Club applied for the registration of A. Tarr.ant subject to the approval of tho Wellington Association. In another communication St. Andrew’s Club drew attention to tho petty pilfering that went on in the dressing shed at North Street Park. It was asked if it would be possible for one door tq be blocked up and tho keys of tho other given to the clubs. — It was decided that ,a member of the committee should lock the dressing shed prior to the game starting, after tho end of the half-time interval and after the players leave the field at the conclusion of the afternoon.
A lengthy letter was received from tho New Zealand Council replying to the .allegations of St. Andrew’s Club in connection with the Chatham Cup tie played in Hastings. Tho Hastings United Club wrote stating that they would play Petone at Palmerston North on August 4. A copy of the letter sent by the Hastings United Club to the Dominion Council protesting against the manner in which the Chatham Cup series was conducted was also received and the principal embodied approved. It was decided to postpone all league games on August 4. After it bad been decided to close the senior league competition at the conclusion of the fifth round, tho following list of fixtures was drawn up : August 11—. Flock House v. St. Andrew’s; R.S.A. v. Athletic. ' August 18: Flock House v. R.S.A. (at North Street); St. Andrew’s v. Athletic. August 25: R.S.A. v. Athletic; Flock House v. St. Andrew’s. September 1: Athletic v. Flock House. September 8: Athletic v. R.S.A.. September 15: R.S.A. v. Flock House. The secretary was instructed to call for entries for the “knock-out” competition.
