A three-quarter inch water pipe, leading off from one of tho street mains to premises in Rangitikei Street, burst early this afternoon. The pressure of the escaping water raised the bitumen surface of tho road for some feet, causing a small blister through which '.he moisture percolated. Borough workmen repaired the damage.
