TIAKITAHUNA NEWS.

(From Our Oven Correspondent.) TIAKITAHUNA, July 6. At the school on Tuesday a “working bee,” consisting of Messrs Matheson, D. Rowland, P. Parker, L. Parker, Dampney, W. Jeffrey, W. Rowland and V. Rogers, put in an excellent day’s work preparing the strip of playground between tho sheds and the school for tho reception of cinders. A good deal of levelling was found to be necessary. On the Wednesday Messrs E. P. Nielsen and M. Voss kindly carried the cinders from the station to the school, tho spreading being done by Messrs Matheson and Nielsen. It that two more trucks of this material are yet to be procured. Quite a largo strip of ground will then be available for play in wet weather. Mr and Mrs Haldane Napier McEwen aro at present on a motor tour in the north.
