ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
MANAWATU v. TARANAKI. To-miorrow tho Manawatu soccer team will have the opportunity of avenging their defeat at Ilawera by tho Taranaki representatives last year. The local team is practically identical with tho ono that gave Wellington such a good game earlier in the season, when it was considered by many that it was tho best eleven yet to represent Manawatu. With the only alteration an impnovement, it can be anticipated that the team will give a good account of itself. Taranaki, also, are reputed to pdssess a strong combination and should it be possible to field their best side at North Street the homo team will have worthy opponents. As a curtain-raiser two primary division teams will play their ordinary league game (Central Scouts v. College Street). Primary games are as follows: —Terrace End v. West End, 1 p.m., No. 1 ground; referee, Mr 11. Kcmpson. To Awe Awe Scouts v. Central, 1 p.m., No. 2 ground; referee, Mr R. Graham. Central Scouts v. College Street 1.45 p.in., No. 1 ground; referee, Mr Newman. To Awe Awe Scouts will bo selected from McShane, Turnbull, Wright, Sandle, Pearson, Cameron, Oliver, Facer, Levy, Turner, Russoll, Itopwood, Stubbs, Dawe and Loudon. College Street will bo selected from McMurray, R. Lodge, Daly, Judd, Olliver, Allen, N. Lodge, Kcmpson, Pepper, Mitchell, Smillie, Petersen, D. Lodge. St. Andrew’s v. R.S.A., friendly game at North Street Park, kick off, No. 2 ground, at 2 p.m.—Chilton, Budden, Young, Bell, Birch, Smith, Hewitt, Archer, Kennedy, McClement, Thackwell. Rangers v. Flock House, at Flock llouso (team to meet at National Bank of N.Z. corner).—Edevean, Hands, French, Bird, Wagstaff, Smith, Smillie, McLaren, Anderson, Sharman, Kells.
