THEATRE DE LUXE. “BABY AIINE” A COAIEDY RIOT. « “Baby Aline” is one of tho funniest comedies ever shown at the Dc I.uxe Theatre, where tho heroes of “Rookies,” George K. Arthur and Karl Dane, are now drawing large audiences with their latest comedy vehicle. Charlotte Greenwood’s love scenes with Karl Dane, -especially those in which ho alleges ho has been shanghaied into marrying her—and tho midget who masquerades as a baby—tho twins and triplets of all sizC6 and colours that are hired, borrowed and stolen, are amongst tho very best comedy scenes ovor produced. The supporting subjects are excellent and tho orchestra de Luxe provides a pleasant and diverting musical programme. The additional feature is “For the Term of His Natural Life,” with Eva Novak,, Australia’s own screen actress. “.For the Term of His Natural Life” filled oric with wonder and a deep appreciation of the enterprise of the people who so courageously set out to place the Australian producing industry on such a glorious fooling with this huge spectacle. Being filmed in Tasmania, the true locale of the story brings a picturesque newness to motion pictures, and adds Australia's share of romance to a romantic industry. In its ten vivid reels there is recorded something as rare and poignant as it is soulful and inspiring. .Fierce mutinies, exciting prison riots, the burning of the powder ship*- “H.Vdaspos,” and u hundred other thrilling incidents, coupled with tho story of Rufus Dawes’ marvellous fortitude and lovo which survived through years of suffering and pain, make it the greatest entertainment yet witnessed. Excellent supporting subjects will also be shown.

FINAL SCREENING OF “BARDELYS.” To-night is the last, opportunity to witness that historical, spectacular romance, “Bardelvs the Alagnificent.” The cast includes John Gilbert, Eleanor Boardman, Roy D’Aroy, George K. A novel announcement is made by the Palace management to the effect that “The Gorilla” will appear in person on the Palace balcony ut 1.45 to-morrow afternoon. “The Gorilla” .will be ion view from the street, and his weird antics should interest pedestrians and others.
