VARICOSE VEINS.
NEW TREATMENT REPORTED

Medical men report a. new treatment of varicose veins, obviating the necessity of surgical removal. The treatment consists of the injection of a fluid which causes mild inflammation inside the vein and converts the swollen vessel into a thin fibrous cord, and this gives no further trouble. Various substances are used in ihe injection, including glucose, sodium salicylate and quinine. Many permanent cures are reported.
