INDUSTRIAL TROUBLES.
SYSTEM OF ARBITRATION. IN DANGER IN AUSTRALIA. Received July 4, 10 a.m. PERTH, July 4. Speaking at His Majesty’s Theatre, Mr Bruce, Prime Minister, declared that unless awards were obeyed, and there was freedom from strikes, the whole system of arbitration would have to go. (Great cheers.) A voice: Cut out immigration! Mr Bruce: A better remedy would be an industrial truce for two years. ( Cheers.)
