MEETING OF ASSOCIATION, Mr J. C. Young presided over the monthly meeting of the management committee of the Manawatu football Association held last .evening. There were *also present: Messrs T. Iv. Lees, E. Kempson and H. J. Simmonds (secretary). . . , , A communication was received from the New Zealand Council suggesting that there should be universal rules dor all associations. A member of the council had promised to draw up a model set of rules. —The' secretary* was instructed to write appreciating the council’s decision, but suggesting that the set of rules be drawn up before the close of the season so that the association could consider them before going into recess for the year. Notification was received from the Dominion Council 'that the Chatham Cpp tie, St. Andrew’s v. Hastings United, would be played at Hastings on July. 14. • , _ It was decided that Flock House have a bye on July 14 and that the only senior fixture be Athletic v. R.S.A. The junior fixture was decided as Rangers v. Flock House. A request from St. Andrew’s Club for a practice game with R.S.A. on No. 2 ground between 2 and 2.45 p.m. on July*7 was granted, subject to the latter club’s agreement. As a curtain-raiser to the TaranakiManawatu game on July 7, it was decided to play a primary game — College Street v. Central __ Scouts. Accounts totalling £5 10s were passed for payment.
