NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 3. The Golf Council has made some alterations in the championship programme from last year. The open championship and amateur qualification rounds will be played first on Friday and Saturday, and the foursomes on the Monday. The first and second rounds of the amateur championship will consist only of 18 holes played on the Tuesday. Thursday is an off day and the final will be played on the Saturday Tins cuts two days off the meeting which opens probably on October 12: • In connection with the standardisatio of courses it was resolved to notify clubs not to adopt the new standard scratch score until advised. The standardising of the majority of courses has been completed.
