VICAR’S RESIGNATION

The Bishop of Blackburn has accepted the resignation of Rev. E. Launa, vicar of St. Cuthbcrt’s. Darwcn. Mr Lauria declares that he did not use unlawful rites and ceremonies and that lie taught nothing unlawful.

The resentment of the.,congregation of St. Cuthbcrt’s, Darwen, Lancashire, at t.ie An-do-Oatholio ritual of Mr Lauria led to frequent scones, finally ending in violence.
