St. Paul’s Cathedral is now safe according to the experts', says The Evening News. Constant observations with plumblines and theodolites show no movement of the piers lor two yeais. The main job, namely the consolidation of the piers, is nearly finished. The next big operation consists of winding a chain four times round the dome to prevent spreading. Each link will be 15 feet long.
