CARTERTON RESOLUTION

Per Press Association. CARTERTON, May 23.

The Featherston Chamber of Commerce passed the following resolution at its last meeting: “That this chamber views with the greatest concern the growing immorality of tho present day and calls on all proprietors and custodians of halls to exercise tho greatest care to ensure tho safety of young girls.” A number of members spoke strongly, expressing the greatest alarm at the present day trend of events. Short skirts, drinking at dances, motor cars and lack of parental control wore amongst the things cited as. causes of the present day state of .affairs.
