ROYAL OAK’S COMMANDER
LONDON, April 21
The Daily Alail announces that Commander Daniel, who was dismissed from his ship as a result of the Royal Oak rumpus, is joining the staff of the Daily Alail. He will contribute articles to the Daily Alail and the Weekly Dispatch, commencing immediately. In addition to his expert knowledge of the Navy, Commander Daniel is interested in subjects ranging from rowing and rugger to the theatre. He has produced many naval amateur theatrical shows, and he is the author of a history of warships bearing the name Valiant.
He once won a bet of £IOO by walking from Portsmouth to London, untrained within 24 hours.
