News from Middleton (Ohio) states that although heavilv-armcd guards are patrolling the city there is fear of mob violence as the result of the killing of two white policemen in a battle with negro bootleggers. The policemen detected the negroes filling the bottles with “moonshine” in a gravel pit. The negroes opened fire and a gun battle resulted. One negro was killed.
