OLD MAN’S DEATH.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 8. A verdict of suicide was returned by Mr Hunt, coroner at the. inquest on Henry Bailey, aged 70. Deceased, who lived with his two sisters at Kingsland, I was a retired farmer. Decently lie had a serious breakdown and the fact that he was separated from wife had been preying on his mind. When called to lunch yesterday by his sisters, he said: .“! am going to end this.”. Picking up a table knife ho went to his room and tried to cut his throat. The knife was taken from him, as was also a razor which, however, he again got possession of. The sisters ran for assistance, but on returning they found their brother dead in the washhouse ivith Iris throat cut.
