IRISH FREE STATE BILL

PETITION TO PARLIAMENT.

LONDON, Jan. 16. The Dublin correspondent of the Times says that the Fienna Fail (Republican Party) has secured the necessary 75,000 signatures to the petition to request Parliament to initiate legislation in accordance with article 48 of the Free State Constitution. The petition will be presented to Parliament immediately after the recess to enable the introduction of a bill to delete from the constitution the oath of allegiance and to replace it by a declaration which will make no reference to tho King.
