MIGRANTS’ TRAINING.
SIR GRANVILLE RYRIE IMPRESSED. LONDON, Dec. 15. Sir Granville Ryrie, the Australian High Commissioner, interviewed after hie northern tour, said that he had been impressed by the practical nature of the training at Walker Hostel, Newcastle-on-Tyne, which was endeavouring to anticipate every class of work boys were likely to perform in Australia it was paying special attention to milking. Public-spirited citizens of Newcastle proposed starting a girl’s hostel similar to that at Market Harborough by private enterprise.—A. and N.Z. cable.
