Many attacks on Chinese villages are reported. , , ■ At Chemulps 300 Koreans battled for hours with an equal number of Chinese, killing 20 Chinese and seriously wounding 100. The Chinese Consul at Seoul has called on tho Governor-General, demanding protection for his people. The Japanese consul at Harbin has issued a warning to the million Koreans in the Kirm province not to attempt organised opposition against Chinese oppressions, leaving tho matter to the Japanese authorities who are taking proper steps. —A and N.Z. cable.
