ENDURANCE FLIGHT.
CAPTAIN SMITH’S START.
“ALL SATISFACTORY.”
Received December 19 12.30 p.m. SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 18. Captain Kingsford Smith took off at 8.23 a.m. for his endurance flight. The plane ran 2500 feet down the runaway and took the air aft6r 35 seconds. The visibility was excellent and there was a mild breeze. _ . At noon, after the Spirit of California had been up over three and a-half hours. Captain Kingsford Smith radioed “all' satisfactory.”—A, and N.Z. cable..:.' .
