MAGISTRATE’S COURT.

WANDERING STOCK.

To-day’s sitting of tho Magistrate’s Court was presided over by Mr J. L. Stout, S.M. For allowing stock rto wander on Pollock’s Road —Pohanging County—on August 9 and August 27, A. E. Cateley, farmer, of Colyton, was fined 10s with costs 12s on each of two charges. D. Caldwell, farmer, of Awahuri, was fined 10s with costs 12s for allowing a horse to wander on the Main Road, Awahuri. For allowing five and three cows to wander on the Main Road, Awahuri, on August 27, E. A. Hockley was fined 10s and costs. Evidence relative to each case was given by William Brown, ranger to the Pohangina County, and witness’s expenses were allowed.
