ALLEGED MAILBAG THEFT.
ANOTHER REMAND GRANTED PROCEEDINGS NEXT WEDNESDAY. HAMILTON, Oct. 12. A remand for another week was granted by Mr Wyvern "Wilson, S.M., in the Hamilton Magistrate’s Court to-day in the case of Harold William. Melville Taylor, who is charged with the theft of a mailbag and of its contents.
Detective Sweeney said there would be 20 witnesses and tlie police would be ready to proceed with the case next Wednesday. Bail was renewed at £IOOO, self in £SOO and two sureties of £SOO each.
