William Jeseph Buttimore, aged 50, a commercial traveller, admitted in. the Police Court that he was intoxicated while in charge of a motor car on Wednesday evening when he collided with a cyclist and badly damaged the cycle. . Two doctorb stated that accused was in a state of intoxication and unfit to drive a car. Accused’s counsel asked that his client’s license be not cancelled as it would interfere with lii6 means of livelihood. , Mr F. K. Hunt, C.M., said that lie could not make any distinction. He fined Buttimore £SO and cancelled his license for 12 months, saying that there was nothing to prevent him applying for a license again in three months' time.
