QUESTION OF IMPROVEMENT.

Recently Mr J. Linklater (Manawatu) asked the Minister of Agriculture whether the Government would offer a substantial bonus for improvements in flax-milling machinery in connection with the extraction and dressing of fibre from the flax-leaf, and the utilisation of the by-products obtained during the process of extracting the Replying yesterday in the House of Representatives, -'the Minister stated that the question relating to the dressing of pliormium fibre was under investigation by the Science and Research Hoard.
