SIMULTANEOUS MISSION.

ST. PAUL’S CHURCH. A large congregation assembled for the opening service of the simultaneous mission' at St. Paul’s Church. Following a short song service, which was led by Rev. J. Ernest Parsons, minister of the Church, words of welcome were spoken to the missioner, Rev. Basil Metson. Mr Parsons assured him of the prayerful interest of the members of the Church. Every section of the Church life was keenly alive to the possibilities of the unique effort being made in the town. In reply, Mr Metson said tkat whatever else might be accomplished something great had already been done in that all the churches had become so heartily one that such a mission was possible. Taking for his subject, “The Most Wonderful Walk in the World,” he preached a most arresting 6ermon from the text, “Enoch Walked with God.” The singing was led by a large choir, and Miss G. Laurenson added to the helpfulness of the service by her rendering of a Gospel solo.
