CHANGES IN CANTERBURY.

- CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 17. The Canterbury Timber Merchants’ Association has advanced the price of most classes of timber by 2s to 4s 6d per 100 feet. This increase affects timber delivered in the yards or within a two mile radius of the central post office. On the other hand, a reduction has taken place from Is 6d to 8s per 100 feet for special truck orders in which the purchaser takes delivery at the railway station.
