THE DESIGN CHANGED. (By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 15. A meeting of the Massey Memorial Committee was held in Parliament Buildings to-day when Mr Hurst Seager, who has been advising the committee regarding the memorial, submitted a further report. The committee had some months ago tentatively approved of the erection of . a large granite Greek cross identical in design with that on Gallipoli, but this was severely criticised by some authorities and has been abandonedSubject to the final approval at a meeting to be held shortly, it is proposed to erect an entirely different form of memorial more adapted to the oontours of the commanding hillside position.
