SYDNEY MURDER.

POLICE THEORIES. ROBBERY NOT THE MOTIVE. SYDNEY, Aug. 12. The police state that they are confident now that the robbery of money was not the motive of the murder of Daniel Condon (who was found dead yesterday on tho floor of his office) but the crime was committed by someone in the money-lender’s debt. It is believed that Condon, who had a habit of sitting with his feet on a desk, and sleeping in tho chair, was attacked by the murderer while in this position. This theory is strengthened by the fact that records of-re-cent large transactions have disappeared from the office. > It is established that deceased was alive at 1.15 p.m. His body was not found until .2 o’clock, which ; would give the murderer plenty of time to search documents —the object of his visit. —Press Association.
