GRAND NATIONAL MEETING. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 13. The Canterbury Jockey Club’s National meeting is being concluded to-day in fine weather. The attendance is large. The track is slightly heavy. Results: — LONGBEACH HANDICAP, of 200 sovs. Six furlongs. 12 Hoylake, 9.3 1 11 Kalos, 10.12 2 1 Royal Lineage, 9.13 3 All started. Won by a head. Time, 1.18 3-5. AYLESBURY STEEPLECHASE, of 250 sovs. About two and a half miles. ' 2 Royal Wink, 9.0 1 4 Osterman, 10.11 2 7 Goodform, 9.0 3 All started. Won by six lengths. Time, 5.29. SALE OF BROOD MARES. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 13. At the horse sale satisfactory prices were realised for the Longbeach brood mares. Coronata was sold for 58 guineas and Blather for 120 guineas to Mr lan Duncan, and Skydream for 325 guineas to the same buyer.
