BROADCASTING FOOTBALL.

PERMISSION GRANTED. CHRISTCHURCH, Junne 14. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union to-night it was decided on the casfing vote of the chairman (Mr A. McPhail) that permission ho granted to the Broadcasting Company to broadcast descriptions of matches played under the union’s control for the present; season only. This decision reverses the decision of the committee a fort night ago. There was a consider-able-difference of opinion amongst the delegates and when the vote was taken to-night there were six for and six against and the chairman decided in favour of the company.
