MOTOR RACING.

BROOKLANDS GOLD CUP. LONDON, April 18. Kaye Don, driving an English car, won the Booklands Gold Cup. He beat Malcolm Campbell’s car by 50 yards. The distance covered 1 was 105 miles an hour. Major Segrave, the motor speed king, is not seriously considering the challenge issued by Malcolm Campbell. He believes that the latter’s car is not capable of the requisite speed, and suggests a further trial on Pendine Sands. SPEED CRAZE. DETERMINED CHALLENGER. LONDON, April 19. “I am determined to beat Major Segrave, if it costs my last pound,” retorts Malcolm Campbell, who says he will definitely procede to Daytona Beach (Florida) in October. He injured his spine at Brooklands, otherwise he would have gone before. He has reconstructed his 450 horse-power Napier-engined Bluebird to develop 750 liorse-power, and anticipates attaining a speed of from 215 to 220 miles an hour.
