RIFLE SHOOTING.
ON THE MINIATURE RANGE. The Linton Rifle Club held its opening shoot for tho season on the King Street range when 11 members took part Considering that it was the first time down on the mound for several of the members, quite an excellent standard of shooting was forthcoming, F. It. Lewis, who headed the returns, getting within two points of the possible at his first shoot, while ho improved on that performance by a further point at his second visit. Two members in G. Tremaine and W. Ball tied for second honours with an aggregate of 135 out of a possible 140. Following are tho detailed .‘cores returned : F. It. Lewis GB—G9—l37 G. Tremaine 67—68—135 W.
