AlcLeod Alinister of Lands, who states that, ta ring advantage of the retirement of Mr J. D. Ritchie, head of the Land P irchase Department, this activity u 11 be amalgamated with the Lands i nd Survey Department which has to evelop and settle lands after purchas . Mr J. B. Thomson, UnderSecret ai / of Lands, therefore becomes the lane purchaser controller. Air R. A. Rodg ly, who was recently appointed to sucee d Air Ritchie, will be the land purchasi officer. The merged department iv; s first constituted in 1908.
