POPPY DAY.
OVER £2OO RAISED. " A SUCCESSFUL EFFORT. The Poppy Day effort of the Palmerston North branch of the R.S.A., whose members" were assisted by a band of lady helpers, was most successful. Last year the sum of £215 was raised and this year £204 6s 7d, with some country returns still outstanding. The highest individual sales were those credited to Miss Blackmore and her band of assistants whose efforts were instrumental in £42 being raised.
